Donor and Foundation Research with Katie McGorman
Our second FDI session will cover the basics of donor and foundation research. During this session, Katie McGorman, Director of Development for Mount St. Mary’s University will teach the importance of researching prospective donors, what information to look for, and how to use donor research to tailor your fundraising strategies. This session will include a small group exercise that will leave attendees with hands-on research experience.

Katie McGorman bio:
Katie McGorman joined JLLA in 2019 and has held numerous leadership roles, including Development VP-Elect, Harvest Boutique Chair, Social & Special Events Co-Chair, and on the Centennial Committee. Katie is a seasoned development professional with more than a decade of experience in educational fundraising and currently serves as Director of Development at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles. Throughout her career, she has advanced mission-driven institutions through strategic major gifts work and comprehensive advancement leadership. Her previous work includes positions at California State University, Los Angeles, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Catholic Education Foundation of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and Dolores Mission Church and School.
